01 — How it works?

Your own bilateral track in three steps.

No complex audio engineering. An LFO (low-frequency oscillator) sweeps the stereo balance left and right at your chosen pace. The rest is a calm sway inside your headphones.

03 — Controls

Three knobs, endless calm.

Every control applies instantly to the live preview — turn while listening, stop when it feels right. Presets are a good start; your ears are the best guide.

Sweep rate

0.1 – 3.0 Hz

How fast sound travels between ears. 0.3 Hz feels deeply relaxing, 0.5 Hz is the classic bilateral feel, above 1 Hz gets more stimulating. Focus the slider and use arrow keys for 0.1 steps.

Pan depth

10% – 100%

How far the sway reaches. 100% is full left-to-full right; lower values give a softer motion felt in the background.

Wave character

Sine · Triangle · Square

Sine is silky and round, Triangle is linear and clear, Square jumps sharply. The mini graphs on the buttons show the motion shape.

04 — Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is bilateral sound and what is it for?

Bilateral stimulation is sound rhythmically moving between the left and right ear. Inspired by EMDR therapies, many people use it to relax, focus and wind down before sleep.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Decoding, previewing and exporting all run in your browser via the Web Audio API. No file ever leaves your device.

Which files can I use?

MP3, WAV, M4A/AAC, OGG and FLAC on most devices. Queue multiple files, batch-process them and download as WAV or MP3.

Can I add a YouTube or Spotify link?

No, you can only upload audio files from your device. Download the track as MP3/WAV first, then upload it.

Is this a therapy tool?

No. Bimeural is a sound experience tool; it does not replace psychotherapy, EMDR treatment or medical care. Consult a professional for trauma, anxiety or sleep disorders.
